In cleaning mode, the rollers can be rotated forward at reduced speed

Safety: Safety concept based on the requirements of EN 1417 and in

the form of a switch rod at the front and rear (height 1200 mm from
the operator's standing surface)
- NEW pneumatically operated disc brake, incl. clutch (drilled and
grooved), brake disc, brake caliper with monitoring and quick
bleeding, mounting bracket, FESTO pneumatic safety valve, maintenance
unit, pressure sensor, protective cover and brake emergency opening

(Due to their design, disc brakes have the property of remaining fully
effective even in the event of a power failure. This conversion makes
it possible to meet the requirements of the
Industrial Safety Ordinance, as disc brakes are now state of the art)
- Design of the brake D1161234 as a two-channel, redundant safety
function according to PLr = d, category 3 of EN ISO 13849-1:2008. In
the first stage, the rollers are stopped electrically by the frequency
converter and in the second stage by a disc brake between the motor
and the gearbox
- When the emergency stop is activated, the rollers stop (roller <
60°) and the rollers can be reversed by 45° per button press
(multiple reversals are possible).
- Automatic measurement and monitoring of the braking angle after
emergency stop
- Control circuit for automatic brake test to be carried out at least
weekly (separate for electrical and mechanical braking device) and
monitoring of the prescribed braking angles and test cycle; Prevention
of switching on of the main drives when the maximum permissible
braking angles and test cycle are exceeded
- Brake function given even in the event of a power failure.
Base plate: Compact steel frame on vibration-damping rubber mats
- The complete rolling mill is set up at ground level directly on the
hall floor. No foundations, no pits, no platforms required. This saves
costs during installation.
